Orientation walk to start, then time on your own to explore the massive walls and cobbled streets of this royal town, early Gothic Cathedral, Sao Francisco Church with an ossuary chapel, ancient market square, Praca do Giraldo, with classic arcades, 16C aqueduct, ancient Jewish Quarter, Roman Temple, tribunal of the Inquisition, and even the blue tiled classrooms and wooden pulpits of its historic university.
